verinice 1.27.0 is an ISMS-Tool - an instrument to manage information security, developed and sold by SerNet. All product info is available at https://verinice.com.

verinice supports ISO 27001 and a lot of other standards, catalogs and technical guidelines like ISO 27002, ISO 27005, ISO 27018, ISO 27019, ISO 27004, BSI 100-1 bis -4, PCI DSS, COBIT, BDSG, EU DSGVO, SSAE 16, BCBS 239, ISAE 3402, MaRisk-E, SREP, VDA ISA, IDW PS 330, IDW PH 9.330.1 and the German "BSI Baseline Security" (BSI IT-Grundschutz). A list of all functionalities can be found on https://verinice.com. verinice is an open source software and all source code is published on GitHub.

verinice and verinice.PRO:
The verinice version offered in this shop is a single user desktop edition available for Windows, Mac and Ubuntu-Linux. In combination with the application server verinice.PRO (not included in this shop offering) verinice becomes a multi user network solution for information security management in large organisations of all sizes - refer to http://verinice.PRO for more information.

Procurement and payment:
The shop product verinice is available for current versions of Windows, Mac and Ubuntu-Linux. You are entitled to buy a software subscription for 1, 2 or 3 years with all version upgrades and updates. Please take care to choose the right client platform. The Linux client may be deployable on other Linux distributions than Ubuntu Linux but this is not supported by SerNet.

Payment during checkout can be done via PayPal or credit card. Our payment provider is "PayPal.plus". You do not need to establish a PayPal Account for credit card payment.
Public customers or universities from the European Union and Switzerland can ask for payment via bank transfer. Please send an email to veriniceshop@sernet.de to get your shop account enabled for this. SerNet does not support SAP-Ariba or other procurement portals. Invoices have to be paid directly after receipt without deductions per wired transfer to one of the bank accounts listed on the invoice.

New installation or update of a running system:
Updates can be installed via the built-in update mechanism. The user name and password must be entered for the update. The user name for the update consists of an individual serial number, which can be found after purchase in the customer area of this shop under the heading "My Downloads". The password is always the same: "verinice". After entering the serial number as user name and password, the existing verinice installation will be upgraded to the new version.

Please also note that an automatic update within verinice is only possible from the immediate previous release of the current version. For example, users who use version 1.18.1 and want to update to verinice 1.27.0 have to reinstall verinice 1.27.0 manually and then apply the settings of verinice 1.18.1. The manual update is described here: https://verinice.com/en/support/update/. As long as you have a valid subscription, you can re-download the software in its current version by clicking the "Download" button in the download area. No further license information is necessary.

System requirements:

• Windows 11, Windows 10 (64-bit only)
  verinice also runs on other versions of Microsoft Windows. However, verinice is not tested by SerNet on these versions.
• macOS 12 (Monterey), macOS 13 (Ventura), macOS 14 (Sonoma)
  verinice is also executable on other versions of macOS. However, SerNet does not test verinice on these versions.
  On Macs with Apple Silicon chipsets (e.g. Apple M1) verinice is supported via Rosetta 2 emulation.
• Linux (64 Bit): Ubuntu 18.04.x LTS, 20.02.x LTS, 22.04.x LTS, CentOS 7.x & 8.x, RHEL 7.x & 8.x
  verinice also runs on other Linux distributions and versions. However, that's not tested extensively by SerNet.
